More Robinson Napoleonics

Another splendid Napoleonic command group by the obscenely talented Phil Robinson. This time i think the figures are Suren on Hinchliffe horses. Phil painted these chaps back in the 1980s, and they currently reside in the collection of Roy Lowson.

Hello DC

What a wonderful classic paint job, you have to appreciate rosy cheeks! Pity about the shiny-ness ;-)

Are these paticular molds/figures still in production?

Gorgeous! I miss seeing this kind of work (Phil Robinson, Doug Mason, et al) in wargaming magazines today.

...totally agree... but then someone's stuck a huge ugly blue sticker on them!!

If you can't tell your commanders apart when there that beautifully painted, it must be SOME army! :o))

If I remember corectly, these were featured on teh cover of one of the early Miniature Wargames.

I've turned to gloss/satin finish for my figures. I think it adds depth to the paint which you don't get with a matt finish.
