As I think Mr Suren does. I think (from my viewing of Scooby Doo) it is referred to on the other side of the pond as an Ascot.

A perfectly acceptable way in which to go about your hobby. I do slip on a pair of Y fronts when the weather closes in, to protect the innocent from the ravishes of a cold blast.
